Design - The obverse of the banknote bears an updated effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s (2005 portrait), Fiji Coat of Arms, Reserve Bank of Fiji’s Governor Savenaca Narube’s signature and novel numbering system. The reverse of the banknote features a Tourism theme with depictions of island with white sandy beaches, map of Fiji Islands with the 1800 Meridian Line marking the ‘dawn of a new day’, smiling faces representing Fiji’s friendliness, a typical cruise boat for island hopping and tourists snorkelling.
