2012 Flora & Fauna Series $5 Banknote- Ariff Ali Signature

Obverse Design - features an image of a Red – Throated Lorikeet (Kulawai), the Fiji Coat of Arms and a salt basket (Kato ni Masima). 

Reverse Design - features a flora & fauna theme with depictions of the endangered Crested Iguana, the endemic Balaka Palm and the endemic Masiratu flower. Mount Valili in Vanua Levu is featured in the background.

Additional features include vertical and horizontal serial numbers on the obverse side, the Gemini™ feature which appears in the form of the RBF’s logo ‘tagaga’ on the bottom right-hand corner of the note on the reverse side and on each side a see-through subject in the form of a carved mast- head (Domodomo).
