Obverse Design - Features an image of Fiji’s endemic nanai (Cicada) and a clear window with an image of a buli kula (golden cowrie). It also includes the signature of the Reserve Bank of Fiji's Governor, vertical serial numbering, shadow image of an iTaukei man, and intaglio prints. Additional security features include 12 raised tactile lines along the short edges of the banknote and a 12 mm wide micro-optical stripe (depicting the Coat of Arms of Fiji, the yaqona leaves and a tanoa) along with the wordings "Fiji" and the denominational value.
Reverse Design - Features an iTaukei man (indigenous Fijian) in traditional attire holding a bilo (bowl) of kava. Further elements include 10 raised dots on the right bottom corner of the banknote, iridescence (shiny gold ink) and the yaqona leaves on the 12 mm wide micro-optical stripe being visible from the reverse side.
Both sides of the banknote also incorporate microtext and fluorescence features under ultra-violet light.
